Cough: The occasional production of yellow phlegm may indicate infection, but the picture need to be viewed in entirety. If there is fever, productive cough, and malaise which persists, then you ought to visit your doctor. The occasional production of yellow phlegm does not, in itself, indicate the need for antibiotics.
