A member asked:

When i cough some yello phlegm goes out. does that mean that i need to go to the doctor to get some antibiotics ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cough: The occasional production of yellow phlegm may indicate infection, but the picture need to be viewed in entirety. If there is fever, productive cough, and malaise which persists, then you ought to visit your doctor. The occasional production of yellow phlegm does not, in itself, indicate the need for antibiotics.
