Have it looked at: The fact that neck pain hasn't resolved is why you should have it evaluated. May only be spasm of cervical neck muscles but can be something more serious like herniated disc or vertebral fracture.

Yes & no: Since onset delayed, was more likely muscle spasm, but keeps re-triggering, so something not quite right -->should see your dr or urgent care for exam. May just need muscle relaxant to break cycle, or might need imaging & more care.
