Question unclear: The thyroid is a gland in your neck which produces a hormone known as thyroxin. This hormone is essential to your health. If your thyroid gland is not producing enough of this the doctors can prescribe replacement hormone to be taken by mouth each day. If the thyroid is overactive and producing too much hormone this becomes complicated to explain. Either way you need to see a doctor.

Regulates metabolism: Thyroid is butterfly shaped organ in front of neck. It puts out hormones (chemicals) to signal rest of body regarding metabolism. If thyroid is under active (hypothyroidism), might feel sluggish, tired, fatigued, gain weight, be constipated & can't stand cooler places. If overactive (hyperthyroidism), might feel jittery, anxious, tremors, racing heart. Regardless, go see your doctor for treatment.

Thyroid Disease: Since undiagnosed thyroid problems can dramatically increase your risk of obesity, heart disease, depression, anxiety, hair loss, sexual dysfunction, infertility and a host of other symptoms and health problems, it's important that you don't go undiagnosed. See your doctor about being placed on thyroid medication.
