How do you get your parents to understand your eating disorder is not something you chose and that it's not a phase?

Family Tx: When a member of the family has an eating disorder it is a family issue, not just an individual issue. It would be best if your family becomes involved in treatment (family sessions). That way they can be edcuated by a professional and you won't have to try to make them understand. Take care.
