Need more info: At your age, it is likely a lipoma, but cannot say for sure. U/s is reasonable next step, likely followed by excision. A lipoma is an encapsulated growth of fat cells (sometimes called a tumor, but not malignant). Often left alone unless they cause irritation. Other possibilities do exist, so continue workup.

Likely not to worry: A skin lump is usually an oil gland called sebaceous cyst or a fatty growth called a lipoma. The ultrasound can reveal these non cancerous growths and determine if other more serious causes need to be explored further.
