Few choices: You may have a tendon snapping over the joint, or a torn labrum (cartilage) inside of the joint.

Hip: Hip pathology often causes symptoms referred to the groin, donut sounds like you may have an issue withdraw hip on that side. I would not hesitate to be seen for it.

Click: The noise could come from hip joint, but can also come from tendons or ligaments. Although you click do you have other symptoms? Pain swelling etc.

Why does my groin area click or pop when I open my leg outward? And should I be worried about it if I constantly pop my groin as much as cracking my knuckles?

Evaluation needed: You may have a loose body in your hip joint or a slipped growth center. Further evaluation by a physician, preferable orthopaedic is advisable. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
