Poss different dose: You will likely need medication all your life, but your dose may change. Other medications and illnesses can change how well you absorb thyroid hormone or how quickly you metabolize it. Pregnancy and menopause can also change your medication requirements. Regular blood tests are necessary to see if you need an adjustment.
