Try county clinic: Taking synthroid (thyroxine) without knowing if your thyroid is actually low or without labs is dangerous. Overreplacement or unnecessary replacement can cause palpitations, arrythmias, and other side effects. Consider local charity or county clinic for access to doctor if uninsured or financially distressed. Please see a doctor before taking any medication for safety
