Dangerous : If ur thyroid hormone level is normal & u take exogenous (extra) thyroid hormone, then u are putting yourself in danger. You can cause thyrotoxicosis or deleterious effects on your body (heart, hair/skin/nails, pituitary, & other glands) from excessive thyroid hormone. You have to check your hormone levels, including prolactin, regularly when taking thyroid hormone. Do it under doctor supervision
