Unlikely: Statin therapy can cause sore muscles without question but my experience is a nose to toes event not an isolated muscle or group of muscles. If isolated muscle or group of muscles more likely overuse from some specific activity. If persists can always see your doctor for confirmatory blood work. CPK goes up with muscle injury routinely check on biannual basis with my patients on statin therapy.
