A member asked:

Does having a benign pituitary macro prolactinoma put me at a higher risk for other forms of cancer? thanks!

Basically no: I hope you'll get the macro-prolactinoma treated medically or surgically; these things can be troublesome. There's a genetic syndrome called multiple endocrine neoplasia type i that makes folks likely to get pituitary adenomas like yours, plus overgrown parathyroid glands and pancreatic tumors making gastrin; be alert for these. Otherwise, the answer's "no". Good luck.

No: Not that we know of and it has not to my knowledge been reported in the neurological literature, this is a benign lesion limited to a specific part of the pituitary gland and can be managed with medication.
