Check with doc: While it is not unusual to have mild discomfort after hip replacement, major pain needs to be brought up with your surgeon as it may indicate loosening or infection of the implant. Again, the best place to start is a call to your doctor's office for an appointment.

Cemented or not?: How do the xrays of the stem look? If cementless may still be ingrowth occurring. Needs to be followed with xrays or further testing.
