Maybe: Obviously you have concerns because of facial features, but these do not have to be from fetal alcohol syndrome. The critical question is whether the infant was indeed exposed to alcohol during development. Any alcohol can be a problem!it is reassuring that milestones and growth are good. Keep close follow-up on these and follow healthy lifestyle choices-good diet once added, no smoking around child.

Overlapping issues: The described facial features of FAS are suggestive but not exclusive to that exposure. They also reflect more first trimester exposure than later.Early gross motor skills don't necessarily reflect the attention/focus/learning issues that can be affected by alcohol exposure later in pregnancy. These may only become evident much later in childhood.
