Seek treatment: We used to believe that the cognitive problems that accompanied mood or psychotic disorders were just a secondary phenomenon, but now we are learning that they are a separate part and maybe the most important part to treat. Make sure your mood and anxiety disorder are being effectively treated. Consider adding n-acetyl cysteine (nac) 1000 mg twice daily to your regimen. Talk to your doctor.
