Remission is key: Immuran is a strong medication for uc. However your doctor probably tried other medications first. Staying in remission is very important and you have to look at the risk of the side effects compared to flare up of uc. Talk to your pharmacist to help understand the risk profile and if any new medications could work. Compliance is very important in order to keep the uc quiet.
