No easy remedy: Arthritis of the hip describes that gradual wearing of the articular cartilage in the hip joint. Unfortunately, there is no easy "remedy". Conservative treatment options include physical therapy, oral or topical nsaid's, glucosamine=type supplements, cortisone injections, and activity modifications. Total hip replacement would be indicated for severe arthritis with severe pain.

No Cures: Unfortunately there are no remedies or cures for arthritis. Arthritis is a loss of cartilage in your hip joint and is confirmed with an x-ray. The symptoms of pain and stiffnes can be treated. The simplest treatments are weight loss, exercise, and analgesic medications.

Treatment Hip : If you have hip arthritis treatment options depending on the cause of the arthritis may vary. They might include a hip replacement, an osteotomy to reposition the hip, physical therapy, use of a cane, weight loss, or medication. Repeated hip injection may have some unwanted side effects cause isnfection or cause further joint damage. Consult with your orthopaedic surgeon.
