Depends: Klonopin (clonazepam) should be tapered in close consultation with prescribing physician. This could be done either using the Klonopin (clonazepam) or a longer acting benzodiazepine such as valium under the supervision of that physician.

Treat the cause: If you are using klonpin to treat anxiety, then you need to check with ur physician to decide which anxiety modulator/antidepressant to use (those are the backbone of anxiety treatment protocols) we dont use benzos as monotherapy for long term treatment of anxiety, so if you switch to valium, same will happen, u will develop tolerance. Please see your psychiatrist . Good luck and feel better.
