A member asked:

Im a type 1 diabetic and i've been experiencing my fingers locking up. it starts in one hand then moves to the other eventually. what is it?

Trigger finger: It sounds like you have "trigger finger". This is an inflammation that leads to scaring of the sheath that surrounds the tendons of the fingers. Although this problem can occur in anyone, the incidence is significantly higher in type 1 diabetics. You should see a hand orthopedist for help.
