Find out if it is strep A & would benefit from antibiotics and not be strep you pass to others. If not, just keep hydrated, eat well, get good rest and it will pass.

Hello. Depends of the degree of inflammation and how long your illness has been present. Is this recurring multiple times/year? Symptoms worsening after 5-7 days? On antibiotics? Either way, as mentioned above, lots of fluids, rest, Tylenol/Motrin can all help. If worsening, see your family Doc, Urgent Care or your ENT doctor.
