A member asked:

Skull deformity from the back of the head, can it be repaired with cranioplasty. how is it done if its a large area & what are the estimate cost.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

In severe cases: In infants in severe cases, cranioplasty can help with the skull shape but the risk increases as the child becomes older. Most posterior deformities are hidden by hair and do not cause any fuctional issue. If it is a medical necessity, insurance will cover it.
