Senna/Colace: Senna and colace (docusate sodium) are a good. Senna is a natural stimulant and colace (docusate sodium) is a stool softner. These should be taken daily to keep movements regular. They may have to be regulated if the consistency is not ideal. Otc suppositories are also important to initiate the bm and should be used about 30min before toileting. I hope you learned all of this in rehab. You should see a physiatrist.
