A member asked:

What is the best thing to do for chronic migraines? over the counter meds do not help.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Prevention meds: Include depakote, beta-blockers, topirimate, but some otc prevention could consider riboflavin, co-q10, butterbur, magnesium. Best drug to stop headaches by far, are the triptans (zomig, relpax, (eletriptan) frova, treximet), and rarely ergots, but otc, dolovent may be an approach. Perhaps see headache specialist to assist the process.
