Why too much acid?: Is it stress? Best medicine is to relax, go on vacation, take a deep breath, make a plan, carry it out, and relax. If that isn't enough, and you aren't stressed out, i would consider visiting a GI doctor, who will consider looking at your stomach. That will require health insurance. After you know the what you have-then treatment options can be chosen;may need antibiotic and antacid.

Acid relief: Yes, pantoprazole is excellent; omeprazole is excellent; ranitidine is excellent; maalox and mylanta are helpful but less potent. Take pantoprazole for a miknimum of 4 weeks daily.
