Orthostatic : Hypotension is the most common explanation for this. The autonomic nervous system regulates blood pressure responses to position. If you have been lying flat for a while then jump up, sometimes the blood pressure doesn't keep up and blood flow takes a while to get to your brain. This happens with some meds. The best thing to do is to sit awhile before standing to let blood get to the brain.
