Swollen gums: To determine if your child is teething look inside her mouth on the lower front gums nearest the tongue. At this age these are the first teeth to come in. If she is teething this area will be slightly redened and slightly swollen. You may even see a whitish area. And from the sound of things she seems to be teething.
