Not much: If the hernia is bothering you, it is possible to limit your activity to those that don't cause symptoms. The only treatment for the hernia however is a surgical procedure. Good luck!

Not much.: You can limit your activity, but you can't do this for the rest of your life. Once hernia occurs, according to laplace's law of physics, the weak point will continue to grow until it can cause problems of incarceration or even strangulation. If you are having any symptoms, you should consult with a surgeon for possible surgical repair.
