Ice, aleve (naproxen): Conservative treatments include wider shoes, topical creams like icy hot, anti inflammatory medications like aleve, (naproxen) insoles, orthtotics, ice, bunion guard etc. Usually with a painful bunion you will eventually need surgery. See a foot and ankle specialist for appropriate treatment.

See below: You can take some aleve (naproxen) or aspirin, use ice to the area for 20-30 minutes.

Conservative options: Try aleve, (naproxen) take off the shoes, rest and elevate the feet. Make an appointment to see your foot specialist.
