Vitamin C, yes: Vitamin c regular long term intake increases chances of oxalate kidney stone formation which, in turn, could damage kidneys. Grape seeds, i don't know. Extra nutrition and extra vitamins don't help and may cause side effects. Lately, studies show multivitamin daily long term intake to be of no benefit and potential risk.

There are risks: Supplements, herbal medication, 'extra nutrition' all carry risks. Taken for a long time vitamin c increases the amount of kidney stones. There are many supplements that cause heavy metals to be deposited in the kidneys damaging them. There are also many supplements that cause inflammation in the kidneys damaging them. Recent research has shown 'extra' of good things doesn't mean extra good.

Vit C and kidney: High doses of vitamin C per day - more than 1500 mg per day, can precipitate in kidneys and cause injury. Grape seed extract is safe. Extra nutrition has many meanings. High protein diet is harmful to kidneys. High saturated fats can inflame kidneys.
