Voice rest: Most causes of hoarseness are viral or vocal misuse. Voice rest would be advised and can take 7 to 10 days to resolve you should notice improvment in 48 to 72 hrs. If your symptom's persist beyond 3 weeks and ENT exam of the throat would be advised.
