I had a cold 4 weeks ago and lost my voice pretty bad. my voice came back but i get very hoarse easily (intermittently, usually triggered if i talk a lot or drink alcohol). is it normal for laryngitis to last this long?

That would not be common. Ask about reflux. If you use y0ur voice a lot it may be hanging on I assume you do not smoke.
