Time for doc eval: In a patient your age, this is often due to myofascial dysfunction- meaning strained, inflexible and restricted soft tissues in your area of pain. Often seen in young women who do a lot of reading, typing, desk & computer work. X-rays can evaluate the cervical spine and shoulder. Physical therapy, stress reduction, trigger point injections & improving posture can be helpful for myofascial pain.
