Yes: Acupuncture involves the placement of needles for therapeutic purposes. There are certain areas of the knee that can be needled, however knee pain does not necessarily mean that you would have needles placed directly by the knee. Depending on the findings of the practitioner, there maybe other points more useful for treating knee pain-and there may be points near knees used to treat other things.
