Is it better to have a mammogran or an ultrasound for breast cancer?

Depends: Generally, screening mammography is adequate. If you have sense breasts, then ultrasound can help. If you have a palpable lump then you should have a diagnostic mammo and ultrasound.

See: Womenshealth.Gov for good info. Best to start with mammogram and radiologist will obtain other tests as needed.
