Hi i got sudden pain in middle left hand finger doc has strapped it i ain't knocked it i have osteo in my hip and doc said it could be in my finger?

Could be: You can get arthritis in your hand and this can cause sudden worsening pain with some activities. Other causes could be trigger finger or snapping tendon. Splinting or buddy taping to adjacent finger is ok for a while, but can cause stiffness if splinted too long.
