Not this year: That would depend on where he will have the nerve graft. More than likely he will not be ready for football, but i would ask your neurosurgeon.

Nerve graft: Very unlikely he will be able to play football in 5 months as these grafts take some time to regenerate, i would expect a recovery of at least one year or more depending on the length of the graft placed.
