Possible: There are different stages of diverticulitis which depends on the severity of the infectious process. Pain under the breast region is often referred pain from any process that irritates your diaphragm (structure between abdomen and chest). It can be caused by gaseous distention of colon or stomach. Definitely see your doctor is worsens or persist for long time.
