No: Cysts in the area of the ovary can develop at any time but esoecially during reproductive years. They needto be followed but usually do not cause problems.

No: You can be born with one but they can develop or be related to surgery in the area. It also may have been there before buy not seen. If it is truly a simple cyst then it is not something to worry about.
