I had two pelvic ultrasounds a week apart. one mentioned ibd, possible pid & acute/chronic appendix. the current ultrasound said everything was normal besides a parovarioan cyst. how could such inaccuracy be possible??

Ultrasounds are very dependent on the ultra-sonographor. If it was done by different folks you need to know who has the best reproducibility. Tbat is when they record the "shadows" on person on one day how close are they when done the next day. I would assume the second one viewed your old one before doing yours. Some may like to look closely at the ovary or are better at that.
