Cyst: Simple cysts can appear when the fluid of a hair follicle becomes trapped. As the fluid builds up it creates a soft mass. Squeezing it can release the fluid. If it is foul odor then this may be a sebacous cyst. Cysts recur and can become infected. A simple procedure in your doctors office can remove it.
