Yes: Swelling and mucus will take a few weeks to settle down. Spray some saline nasal spray in and sniff it through to help clear the passages.

Not unusual : Not every septoplasty is performed similarly. Some surgeons use packing, while others use splints and yet others use none of the above. Depending on what was done, different outcomes and post operative courses will be experienced. A shower with warm water or the use of decongestants may help but not if you are wears an external split and not without the advice of your surgeon.

Very normal.: You should use saline spray 3-4 times a day for 4 weeks after surgery and also can take mucinex (guaifenesin).

Course common: Depending upon the type of procedure and the reason it was done you can have differing problems. Best thing to do is to go back to surgeon and discuss and ask for advice.

Yes this is normal: You can expect a lot of intranasal swelling and mucous production this soon. When the swelling extends to the eustachian tubes in the back of the nose your ears feel blocked. It should improve soon. Contact your surgeon if it doesn't.
