Toe walking: You need to have your child seen by a podiatrist to evaluate her gait. You will then be given an exercise program you can use while changing her diaper. As well as exercises you can do, which she will mimic. Ask the podiatrist about double diapering to help change her gait pattern.

No change needed: Usually, toe walking resolves without treatment. You may want to have her checked by a podiatrist who treats children to insure she doesn't have a tight achilles tendon, limitation of ankle motion or other neurological issue. That being said, most toe walking is benign and resolves spontaneously.

See a doctor: At 13 months toe walking may not be a problem but it could be an indication of a tight achilles tendon and shold be checked out.
