Normal? Maybe not.: Anyone can become "high strung and panicky" in intense circumstances. If this is a temporary state which dissipates when things calm down, it can be within normal range. If it continues for years, no it's not normal. Your current "panicky" feelings are not caused by previous Ambien (zolpidem) use, especially since you stopped it years ago. Please see your doctor for an evaluation of your concerns.
