Talk to you doctor: You should talk with your doctor about weaning a chronic medication like this, including other meds like antidepressants or anti-anxiety meds. Suddenly stopping these medications can cause serious side effects and make you feel much worse.

Ambien taper: I believe it is best to get direct input from the doctor who is prescribing your ambien and will be supervising your taper. When unknown on-line doctors start directing your care, we are over-stepping our bounds. Take care
