Depends...: Upper endoscopy is a vido examination of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. The test is very accurate for any pathology associated with these areas. Though the endoscopist will be looking at all these areas, his focus will depend on the indications for the procedure i.e. You symptoms. Common findings of this test include reflux esophagitis, hiatal hernia, gastritis, infections and ulcers.

Need more info!!: with pending results it is possible that some biopsies were taken or lesions removed. but there's no way to hypothesize not knowing why the test was performed or what they saw.
