Treat infection: Treat the cause! if an infection, often fungal, most over-the-counter preparations are effective if you are compliant with the regimen for 1-2 weeks. Terbinafine, miconazole, Clotrimazole are common meds used to treat this. A topical steroid such as Hydrocortisone may be used at the same time to treat itching. If not infection related, make sure your clothing is not a cause. Is it too tight, etc.
