Remove stinger: When a honey-bee stings you, the stinger separates from the bee and remains harpooned into your skin. Along with it is a sack of venom that will continue to contract and inject. In the field, carefully remove the stinger without compressing the sack with the venom. Your sting will be less painful this way. If there is any difficulty breathing, time to call 911. (wasps and hornets=no stinger).
