Depends: It depends on the test. If it shows gallbladder dysfunction then surgery would be needed and scheduled electively. Depending on your surgeons schedule it is usually a week to a month time frame.

Depends: A lot of times sludge is transient and does not cause symptoms that support surgery. Nuclear scan can often be normal with gall bladder sludge. Surgery depends on symptoms and results of nuclear test.
