Weight: You should get evaluated by your doctor prior to any diet or exercise plan. You want to make sure your doctor does labs to check for Insulin resistance(a1c, insulin, c-peptide), thyroid(tsh, free t4), cholesterol, cbc, cmp - if indicated. In addition you want to be sure you don't have any physical condition that needs to be addressed, such as problems with heart, lungs, joints, spleen, etc.
