I am a 47 year old male with chronic back pain in lower back. it actually burns sometimes. 800 milligrams of ibuprofen helps sometimes. any ideas?

Core strength: In multiple studies the greatest relief for chronic low back pain is with daily exercise and specifically strengthening the core muscles. Nsaid's can help for flair ups but have side effects also.

Keep moving: Staying active is the best way to fight back pain. Also, watch your posture, and increase your felxibilty. Also, being overweight only makes things worse. Use medication for short periods during flairs, but not all the time.
