I got a second degree burn on my leg yesterday and the pain was relatively manageable until this evening when the pain started to get so much worse. what can i do to help this? i took ibuprofen and it helped for now but is this normal?

1st deg burns involve the epidermal layer and require simple first-aid techniques with OTC pain relievers. 2nd deg (partial thickness) are either superficial or deep. Superficial extend into the dermis, may take up to 3 wks to heal, require advanced dressings (Silvadene, Hydrocolloid) to protect the wound and promote moist environment. 3rd deg involves entire dermal layer, requires burn center.
